September 2026 Update
Current Status:
Revised Draft of Project Study Report completed along with an Environmental Classification Justification document; under review by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) with NYSDOT’s assistance.
Next Steps:
FHWA review anticipated to be complete by the end of September 2026; comments will be addressed before finalizing the report and starting preliminary design. Concept A and B details are on the website (here) with past meeting materials.
Timeline:
Coordination with FHWA continues through fall 2026; report finalization and preliminary design phase expected in late 2026. Future public meetings will be announced following FHWA review.

November 2025 Update
